When you’re ready to file, here’s what you’re going to need:

  1. All paycheck stubs for the last six months
  2. Paycheck stubs for the current month
  3. Unemployment benefits received during the last six months
  4. Evidence of Child support or spousal support received during the last six months
  5. Evidence of Social Security payments received by any member of your household who is contributing to household expenses
  6. Retirement benefits received during the last six months
  7. Deeds for Real Property owned or transfer papers from last 10 years.
  8. The last Property Tax bill for currently owned property

  2. Registrations or title documents for each vehicle, motor home or mobile home
  3. First page of any lawsuit or other court action in the last two years.
  4. Felony conviction information.
  5. Information on Distributions from an estate or trust,

  7. Copies of all insurance policies, life, casualty, auto, health insurance.
  8. Records of rental income from any house or land or other real property you own
  9. Information Regarding Deductions from your Income
  10. Retirement or pension plan contributions in the last 6 mo.
  11. Retirement loan currently owed balance
  12. The last 2 (two) statements for any IRA, 401K or medical savings plan
  13. Education IRA, Education Savings Account or tuition program
  14. Any wage garnishment orders or voluntary automatic deductions from your paycheck
  15. Court orders setting child support or spousal support amounts that you should be paying, including the order setting regular ongoing monthly amounts and also setting any monthly amounts for catching up on past-due support.
  16. If you operate your own business, bring a Profit & Loss statement for the last six months.
  17. Monthly statements for all your bank and credit union accounts for the last six months
  18. If you have owned real property within the last two years, closing statements for any sale or refinancing during that time
  19. State and Federal Tax Returns for the last three years
  20. Lists of your monthly living expenses and a list of all debts
  21. All bills, notices or collection letters received in the last several months – regarding all your debts: mortgage loans, car loans or leases, student loans, credit cards, medical bills, lawsuits, personal loans, furniture loans, jewelry loans, etc.
  22. Contracts (with all the attachments) for all car loans purchased within the last four years:
  23. Your insurance card relating to the vehicles you are still making payments on
  24. Evidence of your Social Security number
  25. Government-issued photo ID (such as driver’s license or passport)
  26. The most recent retirement plan statement
  27. Information on any profit sharing or other non-salary compensation plan from current or prior employers
